History
N.M.I.M.S was established in 1981 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal with the help of a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust as a Management Institute affiliated with the University of Mum-bai. N.M.I.M.S began its journey by offering a Masters in Management Studies with an intake of only 40 students and 4 full-time faculty.
It became a deemed university established under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 by notification of UGC in 2003.

N.M.I.M.S was ranked 57 among universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2022 and 83 overall. It also ranked 13 in the pharmacy ranking and 20 in the management ranking.

N.M.I.M.S- NPAT Eligibility
Candidates willing to appear for N.M.I.M.S- NPAT 2022 must ensure that they comply with the eligibility criteria of the exams, failing which, the application forms will be rejected by the officials. The eligibility criteria for N.M.I.M.S- NPAT has been prescribed by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, the conducting body of the exam.
- The candidate applying for the exam must have cleared Class 12 examination or equivalent. Also, this should be inclusive of International Baccalaureate Diploma in any stream. This diploma must be attained from a recognised board at first attempt. Candidates must note that IB Certificate awarded is not eligible.

- The candidate must have obtained an aggregate of 60% marks in 10+2 equivalent examination.
- It is compulsory for the student to have passed in Mathematics/ Statistics at 10+2 or equivalent exam
- Candidates holding IB Diploma will be eligible only if he/she has Mathematics/ Statistics at standard level.

- CBSE and ICSE candidates need to mention 10th or equivalent aggregate marks of all the subjects – best of four or five subjects shall not be considered.
- Candidates exceeding 25 years of age are not eligible for applying to the exam.
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from Open or Distance learning (ODL) can also apply for the exam, but the school must be recognized only by National Institute of Open schooling (NIOS)

- Marks scored by candidates is the primary criteria for selection process along with their performance in the counselling process after the announcement of the merit list in the first stage.
- Candidates whose name appear in the waiting list may also get selected in case any candidate/candidates whose names appear in the merit list drops to take admi-ssion.

- Candidates clearing the N.M.I.M.S- NPAT B.B.A selection procedure will be given admi-ssion only in one college listed under N.M.I.M.S. In case any student backs out to take admi-ssion in the first college, they need to cancel their admi-ssion in the first college and thereafter fulfill the admi-ssion criteria of another college.

- Candidate will be given option to choose two test cities at the time of online registration which is applicable for both days if candidate has opted for test for both days.
- Online registration form will be editable for restricted fields only i.e. addition in school / program, date of examination and change of test city, Changes will be applicable for both days if candidate has opted for test for both days.
