CAREER COUNSELING & PLACEMENT CELL

Empowering Professionals in the making Mo-unt Car-mel Placement Cell was initiated in the year 2002. The objective of the Placement Cell is to provide our students’ Campus Placements in the best companies and to impart right training & instill confidence in them to face the corporate world.

Career Counselling

Career counseling is given to students who register for placement to understand their field of interest and also to guide them on the right career path.

Campus Ambassador Program & Scholarship Contests

This program helps the students to engage with the companies with excel training, manage-ment projects, Case study & Business Plan Contests, various corporate quizzes on campus etc.

Train the trainer program

The train-the-trainer program was conducted to ensure that the training team is trained by the corporate trainers on how to train the fellow students on various soft skill aspects.

Seminars from Corporate Leaders & Senior Managers

Various Corporate leaders from the director or even a partners of MNC’s are called conduct seminars not only on skills required to get a job, but how not to lose it.

Internship opportunities

Internship culture is welcome at Mo-unt Car-mel as the students get an opportunity to get to know the corporate world in their 1st & 2nd year itself.

The placement association was formed to ensure excellent hospitality during the companies stay on campus & also to ensure all the placement activities are informed to students of various streams.

Coffee with Manager

This program was started in the year 2015-16 in order to have an informal discussion with the various mangers from the corporate field & to ensure that the wrong perceptions of a corporate organizations are eliminated.

Seasonal Trainings

Trainings between the Semesters are initiated to ensure that soft skill training on group discussions, personal interview, basic corporate etiquettes, are imparted to the fellow students and also the job description of the company is explained to the student before placement drives.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Students will treat the building, furniture and equipment with great care. Any loss or destruction of these will be chargeable, individually or collectively.
Students will keep the campus clean. Students found littering the campus will be fined.

Discipline should be maintained in class. Insubordinate and rude behaviour of any kind to the staff of the college will be strictly dealt with. Repeated violation of rules can lead to rustication.
Strikes and similar demonstrations are not allowed but a respectful representation of grievances will be looked into.

STUDENT COMMITMENTS

Each student accepts the responsibility to upload the standards of the college, whether on or off the campus.

The day begins with a common morning prayer in which all participate.
The College expects the students to attend classes regularly. Attendance is taken at every lecture, practical or tutorial hour as prescribed by the college time table.
Examinations are held at the end of every semester. Students are expected to write the tests and do the assignments given in each subject during the month. Attendance requirement must be fulfilled by every student in each paper.

The use of mobiles during class hours is banned.
Students must always maintain the decorum and discipline befitting the institution.
All grievances will be addressed by the student’s grievance cell.
Students posting information about the peers, staff and institution in cyber / electronic media / social networking sites etc . Will be dealt severely.
Carrying of any plastic items and carry bags into the college premises is prohibited, to ensure a plastic free zone.
