CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. He founded the first Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831 which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Established in 1969 as Christ College, The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India conferred Autonomy to Christ College in 2004 and identified it as an Institution with Potential for Excellence in 2006. In 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India, declared the institution a Deemed to be University, in the name and style of Christ University.

One of the first institutions in India to be accredited in 1998 by the NAAC, and subsequently in 2004 and 2016, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) has the top grade ‘A’ in the 4-point scale.

Christ Deemed to be University offers courses in Business and Social sciences, Commerce and Management, Engineering, Humanities, Architecture, Law and Sciences.

Bachelor of Business Administration-

The undergraduate programme in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is offered by the Department of Management Studies as a platform to prepare young minds with a positive attitude for excellent performance and committed service. It provides the right nurturing ground to enable students to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions.

The curriculum for the three year programme (6 Semesters), has been designed to enable the students to get an overview of the various aspects related to launching and managing a business effectively; as well as giving them an opportunity to specialize in a functional area of management that they would like to pursue in their careers.

The BBA programme provides students with the opportunity for interdisciplinary learning through various generic electives from the streams of Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Law, Media Studies, Hotel Management and Computer Applications.

The programme focuses on developing the students and equipping them to meet the managerial challenges of the 21st century. The ability to work in teams is also focused upon as a key skill to be developed for success in the work-place.

Application Process-

Christ University, Bengaluru has started the application process for the Christ University BBA ‘2024’ entrance test from December 8, 2018. The exam is conducted for admissions to the various undergraduate management programmes offered at the Bannerghatta Road (BGR) Campus and Kengeri Campus of Christ University.

The exam will be conducted in two slots and candidates can choose to take the entrance test in any of the two slots. Christ University has released the important dates of Christ University BBA exam ‘2024’. Candidates may appear either for session 1 or session 2 of Christ BBA entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible for Christ University BBA Entrance Test ‘2024’, candidates must have passed Class 12 (Karnataka PUC/ISC/CBSE/NIOS/State Boards) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised board.
  • Candidates appearing in 10+2 exam in March-May ‘2024’ can apply with their Class 10 and 11 marks as per Christ University BBA ‘2024’ eligibility criteria.

Selection Process

The Christ University BBA ‘2024’ selection process goes through two steps:

  • Entrance exam- Christ University entrance test ‘2024’ will be conducted in April-May ‘2024’.
  • Skill Assessment Test, Personal Interview and Micro Presentation

Application Fee –

The application registration charge for Christ University BBA ‘2024’ is Rs. 5000 which can be paid either online or through DD. The application fee is non-refundable in case of cancellation of the admission.
