Mount Carmel College is a prestigious educational institute imparting quality education in the field of manage-ment and commerce situated in Bangalore. It was established in the year 1948 by the Carmelite sisters of St. Teresa (CSST). The college is affiliated to the University of Bangalore and has received many awards including the ‘Best College Award’ of the University of Bangalore under the quality improvement program.

MCC Bangalore offers B.Com, B.B.A, BBM and a BCA degree courses at undergraduate level. For PG courses, the institute currently offers M.Com, MBA program along with M. Phil. and Ph.D. programs in commerce. All course are approved by UGC and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses offered by the institute are affiliated to Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik (MCMOU).

MCC Bangalore offers four undergraduate level degree programs. The basic eligibility criteria for ad-mission to the B.B.A, BBM and B. Com. programs is a pass in 10+2 with streams such as Accounts, Mathematics and Economics & science stream with a minimum of 50 percentile aggregate marks. BCA candidates must have Mathematics or Computer Science in 10+2 level. Selection to these programs is done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in state level CET or entrance exam conducted by the university/ institute.

Application Process

Candidates applying for any of the courses offered by MCC Bangalore are required to apply through offline mode of application only. The process of application is as follows:

Candidates can request a copy of the application form by post or collect in person from the institute’s admission cell after paying the prescribed application fee.
All requisite details as asked in the application form are to be furnished correctly.
The complete application form, along with photocopies of required educational documents and other relevant forms, must be sent to the institute, committed to reach before the last date.
Candidates who have received the application form by post must send a DD for the prescribed application fee along with the complete application form.
Shortlisted candidates must appear at the counselling venue for the final stage of admission.

Each student accepts the responsibility to upload the standards of the college, whether on or off the campus.

The day begins with a common morning prayer in which all participate.
The College expects the students to attend classes regularly. Attendance is taken at every lecture, practical or tutorial hour as prescribed by the college time table.
Examinations are held at the end of every semester. Students are expected to write the tests and do the assignments given in each subject during the month. Attendance requirement must be fulfilled by every student in each paper.
Students should wear formals every day. Students are expected to wear simple and modest clothes, avoiding sleeveless tops, tights, miniskirts, shorts and flimsy clothes.
The use of mobiles during class hours is banned.
Students must always maintain the decorum and discipline befitting the institution.
All grievances will be addressed by the student’s grievance cell.
Students posting information about the peers, staff and institution in cyber / electronic media / social networking sites etc will be dealt severely.
Carrying of any plastic items and carry bags into the college premises is prohibited, to ensure a plastic free zone.
