R.A. Podar College Of Commerce & Economics is situated in Mumbai in the Maharashtra state of India. Established in 1941, it is accredited by UGC, NAAC and it is affiliated with the University of Mum-bai.
RAPCCE, Mum-bai offers 5 courses across 2 streams namely Commerce & Banking, Management, and across 3 degrees like B.Com, BMS, M.Com. RAPCCE campus is spread over 1 Acre. Hostel facility is not available for its students. Additional campus facilities such as Auditorium, Canteen, Computer Lab, Gymkhana, Library, Cls. Room, Seminar Hall, Bed, Table, Chair are also there.
Infrastructure
The college building was constructed in 1941. It is a Gothic structure with a clock tower. It is located in the central part of the city between Dadar T.T. and Matunga C.R. providing convenient access for Central and Western railway commuters as well as commuters of road transport. The campus has an area of approx.0.62 acres (2500 sq.meters.) and the built-in area is 5055 sq.mtrs. The building is in the shape of an inverted T.

The infrastructure supports the conduct of various academic programs run by the College. The rooms are made available for the conduct of lectures. The facilities available with respect to the electronic and audiovisual devices also support the conduct of academic programs in an appropriate manner. The reading hall with a capacity of four hundred students adequately supports the academic requirements of the students.
The classrooms are well equipped with adequate fans, tube lights, desks, and chairs to enable a conducive environment for academic exchange through lectures. A few air-conditioned classrooms are available which are equipped with LCD projector.
The college has as many as 40 different forums which include statutory bodies such as NCC, NSS, WDC, Extension, IQAC, and Students’ Council. Dedicated space is provided for the students with the required resources such that the activities under these forums are conducted without disturbing the lectures conducted in the college.

The college has 2 computer labs for computer-assisted learning in the subject of Computer Systems and Applications.

Seminar Hall
The college has a well-equipped seminar hall with a seating arrangement of 60 persons at a time. It has also been provided with audio-visual equipment
Auditorium
The assembly hall, also known as the main hall or college auditorium is a multipurpose hall. The hall has a seating capacity of 500. There is a stage for performing arts. At both ends of the stage, there are green rooms, one of which is also used as a storeroom. The main hall is also used for indoor games such as badminton, judo, and boxing. Students use it for Youth festival practices, dance, and drama. On Sundays and holidays, it is used for college and community functions.

Language Lab
The college has 2 language labs with:
(a) 16 (1+15) computers with ACEAN English language software for vernacular medium students in class M3 and
(b) 11 (1+10) computer with ORELL English language software in the Reading Room of the library.
All the computers have language lab software installed with headphones and mikes.

Audio-Visual room
The college has an audio-visual room fully equipped with electronic devices and an internet facility. This room is used for conducting seminars, meetings, and presentations for faculties as well as students. This room is also used as the Counselor’s room, where the counselor comes every Thursday.
Reading Room
The college has a large reading hall facility with a seating capacity of. Students are provided with newspaper stands to have a better reading of the spread pages of the standard Indian newspaper.

The R & D cell is installed with 6 computer nodes to access the UGC INFLIBNET E-Resource and another online database for research.
Gymkhana Office
A gymkhana office is provided in the left-wing balcony of the main hall with store facilities, the office for gymkhana- in charge for equipment and records with gymkhana annex which is divided into A, B, C, D & E section each for the sports like table tennis, carrom, chess, and NCC room. This office has a separate entry from the outside facilitating its use without disturbing the day-to-day teaching of the classrooms and even holidays. It is well furnished with the required sports equipment.

All records are maintained electronically. Computerized entries are sent for various sports and intercollegiate competitions. For outdoor games and sports, the gymkhana books playgrounds of other organizations. Cricket tournaments are conducted at the ground opposite the college. Practice sessions for basketball and football are conducted at the Indian gymkhana. The annual athletic meet is conducted at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. In addition to these facilities, the college has its own playground which is situated within walking distance of the college’s main building.
To keep up with our drive of maximum utilization of resources the ground is used by the college gymkhana for enabling our students to practice different sports activities such as lawn tennis, volleyball, and kabbadi. The facilities of Ramnarain Ruia College are also used by college students, especially in specialty games.
The open space is known as ‘Lata Kunj’ also is used for practicing outdoor games like volleyball and rifle shooting.
The Gymkhana office is open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days.
